Mouchu Lake

It was another beautiful Sunday, so Anne and I took a trip to Mouchu Lake.  We had a fun filled afternoon walking around, riding amusement park rides, petting goats, checking out the billions of flowers that apparently sprung up over night, driving electric boats, exploring ancient island ruins, and at one point Anne even got stuck in a floating bubble in front of a huge crowd of people.  All around a fun (and exhausting) trip.  Here are some of the highlights, and you can see the whole album here (135 pictures).

As I told my students, this is not a picture of a bee-- it's a picture of a flower GETTING IT ON!

Chinese juggling. The tops make a cool whirring noise. I'll upload a video of this later.

This is the crowd that formed to watch Anne in her bubble.

I finally got a new camera, so Anne should have her own set of photos up soon!  By the way, my new camera– a Sony Cybershot T500– is really sweet.  I was trying to decide between getting a new digicam (which I need–in the past I’ve just been mooching off of Anne’s camera) and a HD video camera.  The T500 was a great compromise because it does fantastic HD video with crystal clear stereo sound AND it’s a pretty decent digicam.  I’ll upload some videos to youtube if it ever gets unblocked here in Nanjing!

Spring– YES!
