Well, it’s that time of the year where I change the theme of my webpage. This won’t affect those of you who survive by RSS, but those of you old-schoolers who still manually check on chrisclanton.com will be seeing some changes over the next day or two.

For those of you (nathan) who care, I’m using a new theme called Atahualpa.  Pretty much it lets you manipulate just about any css option you can imagine in a wordpress theme without having to go through the hundreds of lines of css to get it done.  Simple and robust!

Those of you not interested in the nuts and bolts of wordpress might be interested in the historical figure Atahualpa, the last emperor of the Incan empire.  He was captured by a Spanish invader, Pizzaro, and turned into a puppet leader for the Spaniards.  But then they later executed him– despite his doing everything he could to make them happy– including filling a 100 cubic meter room full of gold once and silver twice for them to do with as they please.  The wikipedia article is really sad watching him repeatedly try to win over the Spaniards and ultimately failing.

They killed him by garrote.  Which is like a strangle-chair.
